Which Tetterine Should I Buy? White or Green?
We offer two forms of Tetterine, and you may be wondering, why should someone choose Tetterine white versus green?
Tetterine (White)
Ultimately, it comes down to your personal preference; the white Tetterine is a thinner, creamy consistency, which makes it easier to spread more easily over larger areas. This may also come in handy if you are trying to proactively treat a larger area. If you're dealing with an area of skin that has hair, the thinner white version may be better for applying and absorbing. Tetterine white also contains fragrance, paraffin wax, petrolatum, and starch, so if those are an issue for you, choose the green.
Tetterine (Green)
On the other hand, the green Tetterine has a thicker, pasty consistency and stays in a specific, smaller area. If you want to avoid applying it anywhere beyond the targeted area, green is a good option. The green ointment may also be better for thickened or scaly skin, potentially allowing for more prolonged contact with the active ingredient. In areas where there might be friction (like between toes), a thicker ointment might stay in place better and not rub off as easily as a thinner cream. And green may be better for getting too much of the Tetterine on your clothes.
We hope this guide helps, and if you've found either of these products to be helpful, we also have a Tetterine soap (which also happens to be green). The Tetterine soap is a simple soap, designed to pair with Tetterine (green or white).
